The seasons, and what they do to your table.
The direct answer: there is no bad month, but December–March is peak — whale season on Maui, north-shore swell season on Oʻahu and Kauaʻi — and chef availability compresses exactly when the islands are best.
The year in four strokes
- December–March — peak season, whale season, holiday premiums; book months ahead
- April–June — the value window: weather holds, availability opens
- July–August — family-travel peak; villa weeks book early
- September–November — quietest tables; Ironman week spikes the Big Island in October
Menus follow the seasons too
Island-first sourcing means the menu shifts: mango and lychee in summer, citrus and heartier fish in winter. Your quote names what is actually in season for your dates rather than promising a fixed card year-round.
